I was the string
Always the solid one
I could be stretched thin
And still stand strong
Yo!
You slid through me
You climbed up me
Slid down me
And played tricks on me
Until I wasn’t sleeping anymore

MENTAL ILLNESS – By Author Sue Lobo
MENTAL ILLNESS
It´s in the tear, upon the cheek as it glistens,
It´s in the questioning, of why nobody listens,
It´s in those places, now so shadowed in grey,
It´s in the playground, where one used to play,
It´s in the fatigue, the tired & the so very weary,
It´s in all that is dull, boring, sad & so very dreary,
It´s in the places so dark, dim & in negative gloom,
It´s in the feeling of being lost, in impending doom,
It´s in the blue lacking of desire, for food, sex & life,
It´s in the useless worrying, the fretting & the strife,
It´s in the panic, the nightmares & awful bad dreams,
It´s in the invisible & within those silent quiet screams,
It´s in all mental illness, it´s real, & believe me it´s there,
It´s when we really need someone, close by us, to care.

My head leans back and my fingers slide perfectly between his
He tenderly massages my breast with his other hand
Excitement runs through me
As his mouth enters the sacred
Nourished by my sweet blooming flower
Feeding on our strong sexual desire
You and I become one for the next hour
Fulfilling our sexual need and fucking till we expire . . .

Writing Tip: Set Realistic Targets
We all want to write as much as we possibly can and as professionally as we can, but unfortunately other things in our lives can get in the way. Work, school, homework, cleaning, cooking … there’s an endless list of things that you may feel prevent you from sitting down and writing as often as you might like. It can be frustrating when you can’t find enough time to pursue your creative desires.
A great way to feel accomplished despite the limited time you have is to set yourself good targets. For instance, if you’re working Monday to Friday from 9 to 5, it is unlikely that you’ll be able to write 5,000 words of your novel every day. You won’t create 20 poems a week, either. Make realistic targets for yourself, such as:
• 2 or 3 blog posts per week.
• 500…

Poetry is all about the reader’s experience. You may have an idea in mind that you wish to convey, and they may have a similar experience to you that the poem reminds them of, or they may feel particularly affected by your poetry in the way that you desired. Your reader may also react in a way you did not imagine – with a memory of something important to them or an alternate emotion, based on an image or a word that you have used. One of the most wonderful things about poetry is that it can be open to interpretation.
This is something you should use when you are writing. Allowing people to interpret your poetry does not mean that you need to be less specific when you are writing. If there is a subject you really feel you need to write about (and there are many out there)…

He suggested I wear more vibrant colors
He doesn’t like seeing me in dark colors
He suggested I wear Mascara
He thought my eyes would be prettier
He suggested I wear high heels and a dress
He wants to see me be more womanly
He suggested I wear lipstick
He wants to kiss my pretty lips
He suggested I send him nude pictures
He wants to see my naked body
He suggested I call him more
He wants to hear my voice
He suggested I listen more
He thinks I don’t hear him
He suggested I be his woman
He must be crazy . . .
He suggests I become someone else.

Your touch feeds my hungry soul
I can’t help but to let go . . .
Surrendering to become intimately yours
Every part of my body I allow you to explore
I get lost in the world of seduction
For a moment loving you as if there would be more . . .
My sexual frustrations gone out the door
Hunger pains released with an explosion inside
The feelings I feel, I cannot hide
Just for a moment you loved the ride
Back to reality moments later
Realization that he doesn’t love me
All he did was fuck me
Allowing me to escape my prison once more . . .
Regret consumes me, and I shut the door.
